What’s more authentically “public radio” than the in-studio performance? Each year, hundreds of stations host 7,500 in-studio performances with local bands, emerging artists, and big-name acts to bring a mini-concert into your headphones. And The Current in St. Paul, Minnesota hosts hundreds each year alone.
But now The Current wants to know – out of their vast archive of in-studio sessions, which one is the best? Every day this April, the station is asking listeners to vote for their top pick out of three in-studio tracks. The winning track is played on air during the Live Current track of the day the following day.
Today’s selection? DeVotchka, Rufus Wainwright, and Sharon Van Etten. Who will you pick? Vote here and check back daily to vote for a new track.
